Deleting Your Strikly Account
This page explains how to delete your Strikly account and what happens to your data when you do. Strikly is made by Strikly, LLC.
How to delete your account
From within the app (recommended)
- Open Strikly and go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account and associated data are deleted according to the schedule below.
By email
If you can’t access the app, email us at hello@strikly.app from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request, to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we delete:
- Your account and profile (email, name, settings)
- Your patterns, projects, row-tracking progress, stash, and notes
- Photos you uploaded
- Your community posts (or, where threads need to stay readable, we remove your name and account from them)
What we may keep, and why
We may retain limited information after deletion where we are required or permitted to:
- Records required by law — for example, certain transaction records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
- Subscription records held by Apple or Google — purchase history tied to your App Store or Google Play account is held by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we cannot delete it on your behalf.
- Safety and moderation records — if your account was actioned for violating our Community Guidelines, we may keep a minimal record to enforce that decision and prevent ban evasion.
We keep only what is necessary, and we do not keep your patterns, projects, photos, or other personal content after deletion.
How long it takes
We complete account deletion within 30 days of a verified request, and usually much sooner. Backups that may still contain your data are not restored and expire on their normal cycle.
Canceling your subscription
Deleting your Strikly account does not cancel an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, so you must cancel separately:
- Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Strikly → Cancel
- Google: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Strikly → Cancel
If you delete your account without canceling, you may continue to be billed by the app store until you cancel there.
